How to Make Short Notes during IIT JEE Exam Study

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an engineering entrance exam conducted for admission to various engineering colleges in India. It is constituted by two Different examinations: the JEE Main and the JEE Advanced.

Making notes is an essential aspect of preparation for any competitive exam. Like IIT JEE, NEET any other exam for that matter. Making notes always helps you out in IIT JEE Exam preparation. Here are some of the important points given by experts of IIT JEE Classes in Pune for making effective study notes during exam preparation.

HOW TO MAKE SHORT NOTES DURING IIT JEE Exam Study: 

1. Always make notes in the Language you’re more comfortable with.

2. Never copy the text exact from book. First read the content and then write it in your own words so it will easy to understand quickly on revision time.

3. If you’ve joined a Coaching Classes or even if you attend regular school, attend lectures with proper attention, because many times teachers say easy examples, quotes or any other uncommon line while teaching a concept you may include it in your notes.

Whenever you recall such lines or examples, the whole picture of that lecture and concept would appear in your mind. You’ll never forget any concept related to that funny or uncommon example.

4. Use different color ink while making notes. You may choose colors according to your choice.

5. Rather than just writing notes you must revise them every night, in this way you will not forget things and you will not be in pressure condition in the last month of exam.

6. Try to make your own shortcuts and tricks to remember things. It is very helpful during exam.

7. Make a notebook containing your mistakes. Whenever you make any mistake in mock test or forget a concept or formula etc. note it down in this notebook.

As time passes you’ll have a collection of mistakes which you aren’t supposed to commit in exams. Revise from this copy regularly. This would help you score higher.

8. Some people have habit of making notes in the book itself. While this may be quite convenient, it is always advisable to make notes in a separate notebook.

Making notes in a separate notebook gives you the flexibility to make memory maps as well, which is not possible in a book due to limited space available.

9. Divide your notes into headings, subheadings, sub-subheadings. This will help you understand your notes better when you read them after a long time.

10. Many times there are some big concepts which can't be written fully in notes. In such cases, add appropriate references of the concepts to the books from where you have read them.
